
During my recent visit to Coalinga and Huron, I had the opportunity to meet with the leader of an oil industry campaign specifically targeting the Latino community. This was a unique opportunity to hear firsthand the perspective of those involved in the campaign and their motivations. Surprisingly, what struck me the most during my conversations was the lack of opposition to California's climate policies among these industry representatives. It was an eye-opening experience that shed light on the complexities of the oil industry and its relationship to climate activism.
